Description:  Our wish list included seeing wildlife migrations, the Big Five, an overview of culture and life in Tanzania, and accommodations offering reasonable creature comforts.  Warrior Trails delivered all of this, and more!

Itinerary overview:
2/6: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport late on 2/6 & transfer to Arumero River Lodge for 2 night stay.
2/7: Day trip with Jackson as guide, to Arusha National Park.
2/8: AM departure with Clamian joining us for the rest of the tour. Full day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. (Special Note: We requested to stop at a public school enroute to the park to drop off the Schrey's gifts, and that turned out to be a powerfully moving experience, detailed in my other blog, JamboCreations.blogspot.com)
2/9: Proceeded to Serengeti by way of Ngorongoro highlands. Lunched at the gorgeous 4-star Serena Lodge. Game drive amidst magnificent scenery. Arrived at cocktail hour at Lake Masek Under Canvas camp for 2 night stay.
2/10: Early breakfast and jumped in the Land Rover for a full day game drive.
2/11: Departed camp early for morning game drive, then went for lunch and check-in at the fabulous Ndutu Safari Lodge for our 3 night stay. After lunch, drove out for a long afternoon game drive.
2/12: Full day game drive into Serengeti National Park to see the migrations
2/13: Departed Ndutu Lodge for game drive, stopped at Clamian's uncle's Masai boma village for a moving visit, then onward to Olduvai Gorge. Arrived in mid-afternoon for a late lunch, and to enjoy the gorgeous Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp.
2/14: Left camp before dawn to be first vehicle into the Ngorongoro Crater when gates opened at 6 AM. Magical. Arrived at Endoro Eco Lodge for late lunch and some chill time.
2/15: Visited Daniel Tewa's farm in Kuratu near Gibbs Farm for infusion of Iraqw tribal cultural traditions, some Tanzania history and a tour of his 8 acre farm & amazing methane fuel system. Visited the Masai mama's co-op to see the crafting of Masai beaded jewelry.
2/16: Headed back to Arusha, with a quick stop at the Tanzanite Foundation in Arusha after lunch. Departed from Kilimanjaro Int'l airport bound for Amsterdam.
